Restaurants in Windsor

Here are some suggestions for good local independent restaurants within walking distance of Windsor town centre. These are good choices for the end of the tour. There are plenty of others, but these are restaurants that I have personally tested and found to be of excellent quality. So without further ado…

The George Inn, Eton –  A lovely traditional pub with good food. The beer is great too! Garden restaurant is an added bonus in summer months.

Gilbey’s Restaurant, Eton – Excellent food with a French feel in a delightfully cosy atmosphere. The great cocktails are a bonus.

Sebastians – an excellent authentic Pizzeria with a wood fired pizza oven. A firm family favourite.

The Viceroy – Never known the welcome and food to be anything less than excellent at this Indian restaurant. A Windsor favourite. An additional eight minute walk from the end of the tour route

Al Fassia – A Morrocan restaurant that is a long established feature of Windsor dining. I love their tagines. An additional seven minute stroll down Peascod Street from the end of the tour route.

Mango Lounge – Innovative takes on Indian food . Award winning restaurant close to Riverside Station.

À la Russe – French Restaurant on the High Street with a solid reputation
