Windsor is packed with great places to eat. We have hand picked some of the best Windsor restaurants within a few minutes walk of the town centre.
The River House
By the river, a little way downstream from Eton Bridge, this is a great spot in summer to sit and eat and drink and watch the world go by. Very friendly and competent staff and a decent wine list.
A great traditional pub close to the river, now owned by our own award winning Windsor and Eton Brewery. Excellent food.
The Two Brewers
A great traditional old pub, now serving excellent bistro style meals. The atmosphere in the Brewers is wonderful. The place looks like it hasn’t substantially changed since the late 1700s.
The Christopher Wren Hotel
On the bridge, with a private riverside terrace offering one of the nicest places to eat in Windsor on sunny days
The Mango Lounge
This is not your average curry house. Quite simply the most excellent curries I have ever tasted come out of the kitchens of this cool, modern restaurant. They have won many awards recently and all are deserved. I really cannot begin to praise it highly enough. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Our particular favourites are their amazing seafood dishes.
Authentic Italian – high quality
Great quality curry. For curry there are plenty of places to eat in Windsor, but the Viceroy deserves a mention because they are consistently good. A great choice for a mid week meal that won’t break the budget.
A Greek taverna right behind the Guildhall in the heart of Windsor
The Harte and Garter
Anglo-french cuisine and sophisticated interiors.
